What to expect during your first office visit
You can expect your first visit to our practice to be greeted by friendly and caring staff. Your time with the doctor will be mainly focused on a complete interview, an exam, exam of a urine sample, and explaining your treatment plan. Your time with the doctor is yours alone.
During check-in, our office staff will request to copy your identification and your medical insurance cards (if you have one). You will be asked to fill out forms which detail your past medical history, medications, and other information. These forms will be sent in the mail or can be FOUND HERE in the Forms page. It will shorten the check in process if you fill out the forms ahead to time.
We have a comfortable waiting area with TV while you wait to see the doctor or our nurse practitioner.
When it is time to see the doctor, you will be led to the clinic area. Your weight and blood pressure will be taken, and you may be asked to give a urine sample before or during the visit. Your time with the doctor will be mainly focused on a complete interview, a physical exam, exam of a urine sample, and explaining your treatment plan. The physical exam focuses on your heart, lungs and extremities. Your time with the doctor is yours alone and is focused on your health.
At the conclusion of the visit, you will be asked to provide your copay, if your medical insurance requires it. If you do not have your copay, or cannot afford it, or do not have health insurance, please discuss this with our staff. Our goal is to provide the best available health care to patients and we have a variety of payment options available. You will also schedule your next visit if needed.
